About Heather
What if the feeling that something is missing is not evidence that your life is wrong, but an invitation to return to yourself?
Heather Mees is the founder of Life Authoring Academy, where she guides high-capacity women in midlife through seasons of transition, self-reconnection, and intentional change.
Through private coaching, guided breathwork, and somatic awareness, she helps women reconnect with their identities, clarify what matters now, and consciously author the next chapter of their lives.
As a life coach, breathwork facilitator, Reiki Master Teacher, and trained attorney, Heather brings warmth and precision to the way she holds space. Her approach is grounded in the belief that her clients are not broken and do not need to become someone new. They need the opportunity to hear themselves again beneath the roles, responsibilities, and expectations they have carried.
Heather understands reinvention because she has lived it. After more than 20 years in clinical research, she began law school at 38, challenging her own assumptions about timing, identity, and what remained possible. Her life has included professional transitions, relocations, motherhood, healing, and the continuing practice of choosing a life guided by truth rather than expectation.
As a mother of three and a woman who has repeatedly navigated the space between who she has been and who she is becoming, Heather offers more than a framework. She brings lived understanding, deep attention, and an unwavering respect for each woman’s ability to recognize her own path.
Heather does not believe that reinvention requires abandoning the life you have built. Sometimes, it begins by noticing the parts of you that have grown quiet and allowing them to take up space again. Her work invites women to move beyond proving, performing, and living responsibly at the expense of feeling fully alive.
This is not about becoming someone else. It is about returning to who you have always been and choosing, with clarity and courage, what comes next.
